Living Consciously
To live consciously is to live spiritually, when you make an effort to align your
personality
, with your higher self or soul. When you live consciously you feel at peace with yourself and the world. Your life becomes happy and fulfilling. You become abundant, spiritually, mentally, physically and financially. You don’t need riches to live consciously but when you live consciously riches come to you.
When you have the courage to live consciously you don’t strive for external power but you work towards the attainment of
authentic power
which means you become so powerful that using force against another person is not a part of your consciousness. When you are afraid to loose anything for example your house or your money; it symbolizes external power. Whenever you have fear you become weak and powerless. When you are authentically empowered you do not judge or criticize. You find purpose and meaning in every situation that you face. You become a reverent person and appreciate and love life in its every form. When you recognize your higher self your life becomes rich and meaningful. You don’t wonder about aimlessly but become enthusiastic and purposeful about your life. You become fearless and use your strong will to go after your goals. You develop feelings of hope, cheerfulness and positivity in place of negative thoughts and emotions.
The basis of a conscious life is our journey towards the attainment of
authentic power
, when we align our thoughts, actions and emotions with our higher self. Some people are of the view that if they live spiritually or consciously they will loose out to others in the race of life. For example they think of a reverent business man or woman to be competing at a disadvantage because the range of his or her activities is limited. However that is not true you can have all the success that you want and even more when you live consciously. When you work with the laws of the universe instead of opposing them, you receive continuous assistant to reach your aim. Somebody is always looking out for you, to help you through the hurdles in your life.
When you live spiritually, you live scientifically. This may sound strange to you but the
law of attraction
work just as precisely as the law of gravity. In fact it is a wonderful manifestation of the law of gravity. We believe in the power of the law that attract our bodies to earth, that hold the circling planets in their places but we ignore the powerful law of attraction that brings to us the things that we truly desire or truly fear, that makes or breaks our lives. We believe in the force of the magnet that send out vibrations and exert a force enough to attract to itself a piece of metal weighing hundreds of pounds. We believe this phenomenon even though we can’t taste, smell, neither hear nor feel this powerful force. But we don’t believe in the
power of thought
that likewise cannot be proved through our five senses but that is just as real as the vibrations manifesting light, heat, electricity and magnetism. Albert Einstein (1954) said,
“Human being is part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest. A kind of optical delusion of consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from the prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty… The true value of a human being is determined primarily by the measure and the sense in which they have obtained liberation from the self. … We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if humanity is to survive”.
When you live consciously you look at science and its discoveries with a higher order of logic and understanding. You can then interpret and apply them to your life. Spirituality is deeply rooted in the theories of quantum physics but that is another topic and rather difficult to grasp at first. We will not go there. For now let's look at the first law of motion which says, “A body in uniform motion will remain in uniform motion until it is acted upon by a force”. This law not only works in a physical reality of time, space and matter but it is a reflection of a larger non physical dynamic in a non physical reality. How is that so? Most of us don’t ask ourselves deeper questions about life. We do not wonder about the deeper meaning of our existence in this world because that would make us change our lives and we don’t want to do that. We live our life without much reflection and one day we realize an emptiness and powerlessness in us. We feel an empty void within us, which we do not know how to fill. When you look at the past and even today you see many rich, famous and apparently successful people who all of a sudden try to commit suicide or go into deep depression. How is the first law of motion applicable in this case? It is the unconscious quality of these people’s life that is uniform in motion. Neither their relationships or business careers or acting careers as the case might be caused them to consider seriously the deeper meaning of their lives.
The pains and joys that they experience did not make them aware of who they are or what they can become. They did not follow the experiences of their lives to their roots; maybe they were afraid to do so. They made no effort to move toward their soul and spend all their lives fulfilling the wants of their
personality
. They got too attached to their wants to change them. Their life was a body in uniform motion that didn’t encountered the “force”. What is this force? You encounter this force when you make a conscious decision to rethink your life and to align your
personality
with your soul or higher self. Many people after a difficult experience or many such experiences try to confront their pain and their life pattern. Sometime they go in solitude or a spiritual journey and acquire self knowledge. This journey requires much courage yet by committing themselves to that journey they change their lives. They emerge from this journey strong, revitalized and courageous. They become ready to face their life and gain not only spiritual but also material abundance. The “force” that altered the uniform motion of their lives was their decision to live their lives consciously.
Many a times people say that too much wealth is not good for us or riches are a sign of evil. That is not true money is just a tool to use as we please. A person who is living consciously not only has true happiness and piece of mind but he also attracts prosperity and worldly success which he uses for the good of himself and others. The more he has the more good he does with it. Same amount of riches in the hands of a person with limitations of consciousness will do more harm then good to his own self and to others. A consciously aware person wants for everyone what he wants for himself and he has more then enough to do so.
