Michael Jackson, End Of An Era!June 26, 2009 Like the rest of the world I woke up to the news of Michael Jackson’s sudden passing. I grew up listening to his songs. I was shocked by this news. When I look at or think about any person famous or not I make it a point to consider only the best aspects of his or her personality. Michael Jackson led a highly successful professional life but his personal life was full of all kinds of drama. Personally I never doubted his good nature. I didn’t believe that he was capable of doing the things he was accused of. However I choose not to discuss his private life because it is none of my business or anybody else’s for that matter. What I admire about him is the joy that he brought to this world by his songs and his support for various worthy causes. He was a great humanitarian. The very first Michael Jackson music video that I watched was “Thriller” and I was fascinated by it. I remember my brother and I trying to copy the dance moves. His songs not only had good music, excellent choreography but also meaningful and sometimes almost spiritual lyrics. Though he has passed on but his music will live on. His songs will continue to bring happiness and entertainment to this and future generations.
