Look Younger, Live longer!

Having positive thoughts and emotions is the key to look younger and live longer. If you want to be well then you have to think well.

Your thoughts shape your health and body. How does this happen? Your body is composed of tissues, which are composed of cells, which are composed of molecules, which are composed of atoms, which are composed of sub atomic particles, which are composed of nothing but energy. If you have not thought about it before you will be amazed to know that your body is ultimately nothing but a pattern of energy. Your body is made up of energy vibrating at various frequencies. The condition of your body is the physical reflection of your patterns of thoughts.

Emotions are currents of energy with different frequencies. Negative emotions such as anger, jealousy, envy and fear have a lower frequency and energy then positive emotions like love, compassion and joy. When you replace a negative emotion like hatred with a positive emotion like compassion you raise the frequency of your consciousness. Think about your own experiences, how do you feel physically when you are depressed or anxious? Don’t you feel physically depleted? When you merge with an energy current of low frequency you will feel dull and kind of heavy. A happy and joyous person on the other hand is full of energy and vitality because he or she is running a higher frequency current through his or her system.

Your body and your thoughts are both forms of energy. Different thoughts lead to different emotions. Thoughts of manipulation, vengeance and violence will create emotions like anger, hatred or fear. These are low frequency currents of energy and will lower the frequency of your consciousness. Thoughts of love lead to high frequency emotions like joy and forgiveness and raise the frequency of your consciousness. If you have thoughts that draw to you high frequency energy currents then you will have emotional and physical health and thus longevity. If you have negative thoughts, then your physical and emotional health will be adversely affected. This will lead to emotional or physical disease.

If you want to turn back time and look younger and feel healthy, then the first thing you need to do is to take inventory of your thoughts. What is your usual pattern of thoughts positive or negative? Do you harbour feelings of anger, resentment or fear? The physical ailments that you have now are the result of your past thoughts or actions. Or the thought patterns that were set in motion even hundreds of years ago or in scientific terms your DNA. The good news is that your body is self healing, how fast it can do it depends upon how much time it will take you to change your thoughts from negative to positive. The body that you have now is completely different from the one you had two years ago, as the cells continually renew themselves. It is well enough that you take medical assistance for the illness that you have but it would avail little to treat the outer manifestation and not remove the inner cause from the mind.

Anger is the number one enemy of our health. If you are one of those people who can’t control their temper , who throw things and scream at others, then you are at a risk of heart disease. One study published in Circulation in 2000 found that among 12,986 middle-aged African-American and white men and women, those who rated high in negative traits such as anger but had normal blood pressure were more prone to coronary artery disease (CAD) or heart attack. In fact, the angriest people faced roughly twice the risk of CAD and almost three times the risk of heart attack compared to people with the lowest levels of anger.

People who are prone to anger also tend to have other chronic negative emotions like anxiety and depression. If a person has such negative emotions then he or she will definitely not behave in a healthy way. Angry, depressed and anxious people are much more likely to smoke, drink to access and engage in addictive behavior. Also they are less likely to be physically active and they may have a tendency to over eat and have poor nutritional habits. All these factors have a combine adverse affect on their health and cause premature aging not to mention serious physical conditions.

So how can you cleanse your mind from all the negativity? You can do so by replacing a negative emotion with a positive one like replacing hatred with compassion and understanding. Know that there is reason for every thing. Every situation has a purpose and when you learn what you are suppose to from it, it passes away. When you stop reacting with negativity and irritability to the unfavorable situations in your life they will pass. You must know that on some level you may have created this event for your own growth or wake up call. Rise to the occasion and show yourself who you are.

When you encounter a difficult or stressful situation you can choose to beat yourself up about it, blame other people, stay focused on whatever you are finding stressful or you can focus on something happy and positive in your life. If someone or something has upset you then ask yourself that will this matter in five years, five weeks or five days? Take a deep breath, have a glass of water and go out doors for some fresh air. Find something to appreciate and be grateful for all the blessings in your life.

Once you have sorted out your thoughts and emotions, every thing else will fall in to place. When you begin to think clearly and live consciously , you start to take better care of yourself. You probably know this already but here are some suggestions about physical action that you should take regarding your health.

Take eight hours of sleep every night

Drink plenty of water

Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables every day

Be active

Stay away from junk food and fizzy drinks

Take your time when you have your meals, enjoy your food and chew it thoroughly. If you have a habit of snacking during the day then substitute your usual snacks like crisps with a bowl of grapes, berries or strawberries. They are full of antioxidants that will make you look and feel youthful. Green tea is also very high in antioxidants. There is no harm in having an occasional pizza, burger or a glass of fizzy drink, just don’t make a habit of it. If you have a craving for something sweet, take a ripe banana and blend it with some low fat milk with a scoop of low fat vanilla ice cream. You can make this milk shake with any fruit you prefer however don’t add any additional sugar. As I mentioned in my article have perfect health and loose weight it is better to substitute your dinner with fruits and a glass of low fat milk or some high fiber cereal. This reminds me of another important factor, it is really important that you take enough fiber in your daily meals; it protects you against various stomach problems such as constipation and even stomach cancer. It also cleanses your system. Good sources of fiber are whole wheat bread, beans, fruits and vegetables.


Ideally you should have five portions of fruits and vegetables a day but quite a few of us manage to do that. That is why it is really important to take your daily vitamins. Dr. Oz on Oprah show prescribed a tablet each of Multivitamins, Vitamin D, and Calcium and Omega 3 oils. Most of us are vitamin D deficient and are unaware of it. You can get tested and find out if you have this deficiency. I have always taken my multivitamins but since I also started taking these additional supplements my backache is cured (I believe due to extra calcium) and my skin looks and feels much fresher (most probably because of omega 3 oils, I call it the magic pill of youth).

Ten to fifteen minutes of sun exposure every day is good for you as you get vitamin D from it but if you are going to stay in sun for more then that then you should use a sun block. Not only when you go for a swim but even when you go shopping during the day or drive to work always wear a sun block to avoid wrinkles. Also it is important to for women as well as men to use a good moisturizer every day on the face and body. Don’t forget to drink between eight to ten glasses of water a day to keep your skin hydrated; this is especially essential during the summer.

Regarding exercise do the one that is fun for you. My favorite ones are Yoga and Pilates.

Coming back to your thoughts. Always think of yourself in perfect health regardless of your present ailments if you have any. Meditate on health, visualize yourself being healthy, happy and having your ideal body. Don’t forget to appreciate the body that you have now. If you want to loose weight, then don’t focus on “weight” otherwise you will gain more of it due to the law of attraction . Instead say that “I intend to be healthy and fit”.



If you want to stay youthful then you should design your life around joy. Even if you are stuck in a job or situation that you don’t like, do one thing every day that you love. Like reading a book you wanted to read for a long time or watching your favorite TV show and you will see a significant improvement in your overall happiness. Also don’t forget that you can get the job that you want and the life that you desire by working with the law of attraction.

When you begin thinking in a positive way, you will start to notice how good you look and feel. Your health will improve significantly. You will understand that there is no situation or problem big enough to upset you. When you purify your mind against all negative thoughts and emotions you will feel calm and serene. You can then use the law of attraction to achieve whatever it is that you want.

When you think in this way you feel no stress or anxiety. Why should you? You have the power to create the life that you want. You should know that there is no need to be depressed or worried, you can and will have your ideal life. You will then experience the true joy that comes from knowing that you have complete control over your life. When you have this kind of power you feel confident and when you feel good, you look good. Having a positive attitude will add years to your life.
